Tangipahoa man arrested through internet sting operation

Louisiana State Police have released that Todd Gohmert, wm, 37, of Tangipahoa has been arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer aided solicitation of a minor.
An investigation was conducted for 10 days in July of 2009, with detectives conducting an online sting operation in Tangipahoa Parish. An undercover State Trooper posed as a 15 year old female and was contacted by an adult male on four separate occasions. Through the investigation, detectives identified the man as Gohmert. State Police put out an arrest warrant for two counts each of indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer aided solicitation of a minor.
Gohmert was located and arrested by Louisiana State Police detectives without incident on February 2, and then booked into Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
