21ST District Court: Convictions - January 21, 2014

LIVINGSTON- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on January 21, 2014, before Judge Robert Morrison, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:
Reinaldo Smith, age 29, of Dayton, OH, pleaded no contest to driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to serve 90 days in the parish jail. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on one year of probation. He must also pay a $500.00 fine and court costs and complete special conditions of probation.
Jennifer Fraser, age 40, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to serve two years with the department of corrections. The sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on two years of probation. She must also pay a $350.00 fine and court costs.
Jeremy Logan, age 23, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to auto burglary. He was sentenced to serve five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on three years of probation. He must also pay a $500.00 fine and court costs.
Jeremy Logan, age 23, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to theft under $300.00. He was sentenced to serve six months in the parish jail. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on two years of probation. He must also pay restitution.
Amber Strauch, age 27, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to serve two years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on two years of probation. She must also pay a $250.00 fine and court costs.
Asaad Brown, age 26, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to simple battery, resisting an officer, and simple criminal damage to property under $500.00. He was sentenced to serve 92 days in the parish jail for the first offense, 30 days for the second, and 92 days for the third. All time is to be served concurrently.
Daniel Bridges, age 52, of Tickfaw, LA, pleaded no contest to two counts of domestic abuse battery, one count of resisting arrest, and one count of battery on a police officer. He was sentenced to serve 103 days in the parish jail for each count of the first offense, and 30 days for each additional offense. All time is to be served concurrently.
Robert Hickerson, age 45, of Amite, LA, pleaded no contest to domestic abuse battery, and resisting an officer. He was sentenced to serve 75 days in the parish jail for the first offense, and 10 days for the second. All time is to be served concurrently.
Thomas Galladora, age 28, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to serve two years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on two years of probation. He must also pay a $250.00 fine and court costs.
