“Dossier de Ausencias”, the Dominican docudrama directed by Rolando Díaz, with the script of Rolando Díaz and Alfonso Quiñones and executive production by Alfonso Quiñones, has been chosen for the Official Contemporary Selection of the XXXVI Ibero-Latin American Film Festival of Trieste, contest Italian which is the greatest reference of Latin cinema in the European country.
The film is starred by laureate Dominican actress Judith Rodriguez.
Díaz, who has studied for a few years in the Dominican Republic and has an extraordinary career with nearly 30 cinematographic titles, and numerous international awards, including a nomination to Goya, expressed that it was an honor that the “Dossier de Ausencias” had formed part of the official section of the ya festival that represents a way to fully enter the european panorama.
“Trieste is a festival with history and prestige, 36 editions are ready, but it must mean its loyalty that has always been concerned about what is happening in Latin America”, added the Cuban-Spanish director.
The film is starred by the outstanding Dominican actress Judith Rodriguez, who plays Elaine, a journalist who is looking for Moraima, who was given in adoption when she was a baby and she returned to her biological fathers when she started her adolescence.
