Northshore Technical hosts Culinary Summer Camp

GREENSBURG- Northshore Technical Community College and Chef Stephen Curry hosted a Culinary Summer Camp for grades 5th-8th from June 6-9. This camp taught the children basic food prep safety, knife skills, multiple cooking techniques, and how to keep a work area clean. The week’s menu consisted of: hamburgers, shrimp penne pasta, and chocolate chip cookies. Chef Curry also taught the students how to make a bunny out of a lemon. On the final day, parents came in to be served a meal of flank steak, chicken on a stick, sautéed vegetables, roasted potatoes, bread pudding (with an optional chocolate sauce), and cookies. Each student was presented with a certificate and a Northshore baseball cap upon completing the camp.
