On the evening of Sunday, June 9, responders from St. Helena Fire District #4, St. Helena Sheriff’s Department and DEMCO answered a call concerning a vehicle that had hydroplaned off the road and into a creek.
“We respond to all rescue calls, and St. Helena Sheriff’s Department and DEMCO showed up around the same time we did,” said St. Helena Fire Department #4 Chief Brad Graves. “We all got there at the right time. We also appreciated the extra hands from DEMCO, and we all worked together.”
The incident occurred between Greensburg and Montpelier near the intersection of Highway 43 and Highway 1045, according to Graves.
